I feel I must put this out there as there is SO much confusion on Isaac West of Lincoln Co NC.
This Isaac West who married a possible Jemima was born about 1738 to 1740 . I have no record of birth date or birthplace. Birth date is based upon son Barney's birth date.
My first record of Isaac is a land record in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Deed Book 2 Page 321 . On the 11 day of Apr 1778 Isaac West of Tryon Co NC (Lincoln Co was Tryon Co back then) & John Moore of Tryon Co NC ; Isaac West for the sum of 40 pounds buys from John Moore a certain tract of land containing 100 Acres situated in Tryon County NC on the North side of Doctors Creek and on the branches of Dutchman's Creek being part of a patent granted to John Beaty schoolmaster.
John Beaty sold this land or Deeded it to Edward Hogan & Edward Hogan sold it to John Moore .
(These names and the creeks of Doctor's and Dutchman and the acreage become very important in establishing that this Isaac West is the same Isaac West in later records etc) Witnesses to this deed were George Lamkin Sr & George Lamkin Jr.
Incidentally on the 20 Jan 1778 (Same Year as above) George Lamkin sold to George West (Both of Tryon Co NC) for the sum of 40 Pounds 98 acres situated in Tryon Co NC on the west side of the Catawba River . Robert Alexander is a witness.
Also on April 11 1778 (Same day as Isaac West & John Moore deed) William West buys of John Moore (Deed book 2 pg 327) for the sum of 35 pounds 80 acres situate in Tryon county , NC on the South Side of Doctor's Creek joining William Moore's land being part of a patent granted to John Beaty schoolmaster John Beaty sold the land to Edward Hogan and Edward Hogan sold it to John Moore. Witnesses were George Lamkin Sr & George Lamkin Jr.
It is my opinion that William West, George West and Isaac West & John West were related. I am not sure how though. Was William and George West & John West Isaac's brother's? Father? Uncle? Maybe further records land records will tell us.
On 20 Oct 1780 John West deeds to William West 80 Acres for 35 pounds . Land is on the South Side of Doctors Creek joining William Moore's land . Land granted originally to John Baily (Beaty?) School Master and sold to Edward Hogan Who sold it to John Moore who sold it to William West . I will have to type this one out fully as it looks like at the end of the record they are saying Wm West is deeding it to John West.
The next land record is Deeded from John Belk to Isaac West. Deed Book 16 page 288.
20 Aug 1792 John Belck & Isaac West both of Lincoln Co NC . John Belck sold for 130 pounds to Isaac West 109 acres on the South Side of Doctors Creek joining William Moore's land. Being part of a patent granted to John Beaty Schoolmaster Witnesses were Stephen Weast (Stephen West son of Isaac) & William Bealk (Son of John Belck) . You see how this record of land description proves its the same land as above between John Moore and Isaac & William West. Sold by John Beaty Schoolmaster and on Doctors Creek. The deed was proven in Oct 1792 Court upon the oath of Stephen West.
Next land record Deed Book 17 page 416 John Bealk to Isaac West (both of Lincoln Co) 23 Mar 1795. Isaac West buys for 5 pounds on the waters of Dutchman's Creek 30 acres . The land goes through George Cox's land, John Taylors land , Said John Bealks land , Said Isaac West's land. Land was granted to John Bealk by patent bearing date 27 Nov 1792 . Witnesses were Moses Jenkins & William West. April Sessions 1796 Deed was proved in Court upon oath of William West.
The next deed is Deed Book 18 Page 522 . William Davenport Sold to Isaac Nov 1797 for 20 pounds land 20 acres County of Lincoln on Dutchman's Creek joining Isaac West & his own land. Witnesses are Moses Jenkins & William Scott. Deed was proven in Court Jan 1798 on the Oath of William Scott.
The Next deed is between Isaac West & William West. I believe this to be Isaac's son William.
Deed Book 22 Page 184 26 Sep 1803 Isaac West deeds to William West for the sum of 100 pounds 75 acres . Land goes through Joseph Dickson's land as well as Stephen West's land and Isaac West is described as now living on land .On the waters of Doctor's Creek . Witnesses were Robert Curry & Stephen West. Proved in Court Oct 1804.
Next land record was Deed book 22 Page 185 29 Sep 1804 . Isaac West deeded to William West for 50 dollars on the south side of Doctor's Creek joining lands of William West , Isaac West & John Springs 20 acres. James Reese (Looks like James Rep but this is how James Reese signed his name) & John Taylor. Proved in Court Oct 1804
The Next Deed is Deed 28 Page Page 644 18 Apr 1819 Isaac West Senior sold William West for the sum of 20 dollars on the waters of Dutchman's Creek joining lands of each of them. 4 acres & a half. Witnesses are John & Anne Wills . Proved in Court Apr 1819 on oath of John Wills.
Next Deed was Deed Book 29 Page 229 Leonard Fite of Lincoln Co sold Isaac West Senior of Lincoln County one Negro Man by the name of Adam aged 28 years for the sum of 600 dollars. Witnessed by Thomas McGee & Hugh McGee. Bill of Sale Proved in Court Jan 1820 by the oath of Hugh McGee.
Next Deed was Deed book 29 page Page 262 Leonard Fite sold to Isaac West 23 Feb 1819 for the sum of 1500 dollars land in the county of Lincoln on both sides of the wagon road leading from the Tuckasege Ford to Armstrong's Ford joining land of James Scott John Henry Samuel Caldwell & James Beatty's land being part of a tract of land granted to John Cathey? (Not sure on the last name there) by patent bearing the date 12 1753 and conveyed by him to unto Thomas Robinson and from him to Peter Fite and from him to the said Leonard Fite. Land goes through Scotts line Henry's and Caldwell's lines Beatty's line . 304 acres. Witnessed by Thomas & Hugh McGee. Proved in Court Sep 1820 on oath of Hugh McGee. ( I suspect said land was sold to Isaac West by Leonard Fite who married Isaac's daughter Winny West when they were moving to TN)
Next Deed is Deed book 31 page 342 Isaac West Sr deeded /Sold to Isaac West Jr 24 Dec 1823
for 500 dollars a parcel of land where they live on Dutchman's Creek joining lands of Samuel Caldwell and others. Those others are: Johnston . 176 acres. Witnesses were Samuel McKee & Rufus F Caldwell. Proved in Court on the oath of Samuel McKee on Apr 1825.
Deed 31 page 343 Isaac West Sr Deeded/Sold to Barney West on 16 Dec 1823 for the sum of 300 dollars Land lying on Doctor's Creek joining lands of his own, Robert Johnston & William West. 92 Acres. Witnesses Samuel McKee & Rufus F Caldwell. Proved in Court April 1825 by the oath of Samuel McKee.
That appears to be the last deed by Isaac West in the Lincoln Co NC Deeds. The Next is by Sarah West in 1830. It is a relinquishment .Deed book 33 Page 346. Sarah West do hereby quit claim to all and every part and parcel of land or any of his improvements on the ? on which my husband Barney West owned and possessed lived and deeded on as to any right of dower claim or interest ?? land or premises whatsoever 16 Feb 1830 Sarah West signed her mark. Witnesses were John Moore & Vinson Morris . Proved in Court April 1830 by the oath of John Moore. (Barney West has died abt 1828 and this would be his widow Sarah "Sally" Wallace West).
Deed 1 June 1820 Book 33 page 370 Charles Whitt of Lincoln County, Sold to Barney West of Lincoln Co for 30 dollars land joining their own containing 1 acre. being a tract of land conveyed to said Witt by William Scott. Witnesses were Hugh Ewing & Allen West. Proved in Court April 1830.
Next deed is Deed book 36 Page 619 2 Mar 1836
William West to Ezekiel West. both of Lincoln Co NC. William West deeded/sold to Ezekiel West for the sum of 65 dollars land lying in said County on the waters of Doctor's Creek. Joining lands of myself (William) Joseph Johnson, John Springs , and said Ezekiel West . 53 Acres. Witnesses James Armstrong & James Skidmore. Proved in court Nov 1836 . (This William is believed by me to be Isaac West Sr.s son William West and Ezekiel being a son of said William West.)
Next Deed is Deed Book 40 Page 80. John Springs Esquire of York County, SC to Ezekiel West of the county of Lincoln State of NC 23 Feb 1837 , John Springs sold/deeded for the sum of 64 dollars & 50 cents to Ezekiel West a tract of land situate lying on the waters of Doctors Creek joining lands of Joseph Johnston , Ezekiel West & Spring's own land . 10 acres. Witnesses were William A Scott & John Coulter . Proved in Court June 1843 on the oath of John Coulter.

John Sumpter sold to James Reece for 75 pounds 150 acres on the waters of Catawba River joining land of David Fillips and William Belks. Tract of land was granted to Moses Scott bearing the date of 5 Nov 1779 . Witnesses were Thomas Martin and James Henderson.
(I believe that is James Reece who married Isaac's daughter Feriba West. James Reece's son Thomas was born in 1799 Lincoln Co NC)

Later Naomi sues the Admin of William West's estate. In his will William calls Robert his unfortunate son. Nominates friends AW Davenport & William T Shipp Executors of his will and guardians to his son Robert. Will is dated 6 day of Nov 1858 . Samuel Johnston & E P Clemmer witnesses, Later when Naomi West sues the executors she says William West died in the spring of 1860. More on William later)

In all of these census's Isaac's wife is still alive.
I have nothing on Isaac after 1823 Deed so I am assuming he died after the last deed. After 1823.
On the Nov 1784 Isaac had 300 acres surveyed and entered in Lincoln Co NC on both sides of Dutchman's Creek. William Bishop & William Johnston were Chain Bearer's.
THIS ISAAC WEST ABOVE IS NOT THE ISAAC WEST THAT MARRIED SUSANNAH ANDERSON. THEY ARE 2 SEPERATE PEOPLE.
The Isaac who married Susannah Anderson moved to Dickson Co TN and died there or IL. That Isaac West died abt 1814. OUR ISAAC WEST was still alive and well and doing land deeds and such in Lincoln Co NC up till 1823 or so.

In 1789 Doctor's Creek , Lincoln Co NC Our Isaac West was a witness to a deed between John West & John Belk, along with W Rankin, & Charles Whitt. The land bordered William Moore.
John West had surveyed for him 129 acres 1787 Lincoln Co Doctors & Dutchman's Creek. Chain Bearers were Charles Whitt and Robert West. Joining Joseph Dickson's land.
Charles Whitt served in the Rev War with Barney West Sr. Barney West Sr wrote a statement about his service with Charles Whitt for Charles Whitt's pension.
UPDATE: William West in 1830 in Lincoln Co NC has an aged man aged 80-89 living with him which I believe to be his father Isaac West. So this places Isaac West's death after 1830.

Deed Book 19 page 358 From John Sumpter of Mecklenburg County NC to James Reece of Lincoln Co NC 6 Aug 1799 . John Sumpter sold to James Reece for 75 pounds 150 acres on the waters of Catawba River joining land of David Fillips and William Belks. Tract of land was granted to Moses Scott bearing the date of 5 Nov 1779 . Witnesses were Thomas Martin and James Henderson.
(I believe that is James Reece who married Isaac's daughter Feriba West. James Reece's son Thomas was born in 1799 Lincoln Co NC)

William West (May have married Elitha Lewis but by 1850 had wife named Sarah . His children from his will in Gaston Co NC lists no wife and children : Ezekiel, Jemima, Robert, Ibby, Amy ,William & Jane West . Mentions Robert has wife Naomi. Later Naomi sues the Admin of William West's estate. In his will William calls Robert his unfortunate son. Nominates friends AW Davenport & William T Shipp Executors of his will and guardians to his son Robert. Will is dated 6 day of Nov 1858 . Samuel Johnston & E P Clemmer witnesses, Later when Naomi West sues the executors she says William West died in the spring of 1860. More on William later)

In all of these census's Isaac's wife is still alive.
I have nothing on Isaac after 1823 Deed so I am assuming he died after the last deed. After 1823.
On the Nov 1784 Isaac had 300 acres surveyed and entered in Lincoln Co NC on both sides of Dutchman's Creek. William Bishop & William Johnston were Chain Bearer's.
THIS ISAAC WEST ABOVE IS NOT THE ISAAC WEST THAT MARRIED SUSANNAH ANDERSON. THEY ARE 2 SEPERATE PEOPLE.
The Isaac who married Susannah Anderson moved to Dickson Co TN and died there or IL. That Isaac West died abt 1814. OUR ISAAC WEST was still alive and well and doing land deeds and such in Lincoln Co NC up till 1823 or so.

In 1789 Doctor's Creek , Lincoln Co NC Our Isaac West was a witness to a deed between John West & John Belk, along with W Rankin, & Charles Whitt. The land bordered William Moore.
John West had surveyed for him 129 acres 1787 Lincoln Co Doctors & Dutchman's Creek. Chain Bearers were Charles Whitt and Robert West. Joining Joseph Dickson's land.
Charles Whitt served in the Rev War with Barney West Sr. Barney West Sr wrote a statement about his service with Charles Whitt for Charles Whitt's pension.
UPDATE: William West in 1830 in Lincoln Co NC has an aged man aged 80-89 living with him which I believe to be his father Isaac West. So this places Isaac West's death after 1830.
