Parent's of John Larkin Davis of Stoddard County, Missouri

John Larkin Davis is my Great Great Grandfather. It has taken me 10 years of online research and DNA to figure out the parents of John Larkin Davis. John was born about Jan 1864 in Jefferson  County, Missouri. His father was John R Davis and mother was Teressa Jane Pyeatt. John R Davis was born abt 1832 in Jefferson County, MO and Teressa was born abt 1845 in Jefferson Co MO. John and Teressa married 11 Oct 1863 in Jefferson County, Missouri. Teressa remarried to George Washington Peppers 26 April 1866 Jefferson County, MO. So John R Davis died before 26 April 1866. It appears that John R Davis probably died in the civil war . We first find John Larkin Davis on a 1870 census of Big River Township , Jefferson County, MO. Hillsboro is the post office. He is  age 9 years old  and living with his grandfather Joshua Davis who is aged 61 on the census . Joshua died on 30 Aug 1879 in Pulaski County, MO. Larkin Davis is listed as an heir of Joshua. JOHN SWIFT Sr  OF LIVINGSTON,   CHRISTIAN , & CALDWELL CO's KY My ancestor is John Swift  Born 22 Nov 1801 in Livingston County KY. Birthdate & place is from Johns Swift's  own statement from Gratiot Street Prison in St. Louis , MO  where he was being held during the civil war for being a "Southern Sympathizer". (Missouri Provost Mashall papers) . John states he was born in Livingston Co KY 22 Nov 1801. John's father was John Swift Sr  who married Hannah McElwrath. John Swift Sr was born about (1777? Based on if he was 21 at date of marriage to  Hannah McElwrath 1798) and it is not known by me where he was born at this time. The first record I have on John Sr is his marriage to Hannah McElrath on 19 Oct 1798 Christian Co KY. The Next record is a Tax list 1801 Livingston Co KY (Where our John Jr states he was born). Isaac West of Lincoln Co NC I feel I must put this out there as there is SO much confusion on Isaac West of Lincoln Co NC. This Isaac West who married a possible Jemima was born about 1738  to 1740 . I have no record of birth date or birthplace. Birth date is based upon son Barney's birth date. My first record of Isaac is a land record in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Deed Book 2 Page 321 . On the 11 day of Apr 1778 Isaac West of Tryon Co NC (Lincoln Co  was Tryon Co  back then) & John Moore of Tryon Co NC ; Isaac West  for the sum of 40 pounds buys from John Moore a certain tract of land containing 100 Acres situated in Tryon County NC on the North side of Doctors Creek and on the branches of Dutchman's Creek being part of a patent granted to John Beaty  schoolmaster.
