Isaac West of Lincoln Co NC I feel I must put this out there as there is SO much confusion on Isaac West of Lincoln Co NC. This Isaac West who married a possible Jemima was born about 1738  to 1740 . I have no record of birth date or birthplace. Birth date is based upon son Barney's birth date. My first record of Isaac is a land record in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Deed Book 2 Page 321 . On the 11 day of Apr 1778 Isaac West of Tryon Co NC (Lincoln Co  was Tryon Co  back then) & John Moore of Tryon Co NC ; Isaac West  for the sum of 40 pounds buys from John Moore a certain tract of land containing 100 Acres situated in Tryon County NC on the North side of Doctors Creek and on the branches of Dutchman's Creek being part of a patent granted to John Beaty  schoolmaster.
